Partnering with Create Academy in Phoenix, AZ, DogEar Theatre Productions created Just One Second. Developed through in-class workshops and company devising sessions, Just One Second, reimagines the “tea party” scene form Lewis Carroll’s The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. This culminated in a fully immersive show taking place over the course of one week and was tied into students’ lessons in English, math, and art. As the scenic designer I utilized socially engaged design methodologies, facilitating a number of workshops with students in which we designed and built most of the major scenic elements of the show.
